Finding off-campus housing as a Butler University student shouldn't mean scrolling through hundreds of irrelevant listings on platforms that weren't built for you. Butler Housing was created to give Butler students a direct connection to landlords near campus — and to give those landlords a straightforward way to reach the tenants they're looking for.

Why We Built This
The Butler-Tarkington neighborhood and surrounding Indianapolis communities have a long tradition of welcoming Butler students as neighbors. But the tools connecting students to local landlords haven't kept up — generic listing platforms favor large institutional portfolios and leave independent owner-operators without a fair shot.
Butler Housing levels the playing field. We give Owner-Operated and locally managed landlords the same reach as large apartment complexes, and we give students better signal — so both sides can spend less time searching and more time in the right place.
